Unleash The Adventure Within

About

I’m an IFMGA/ American Mountain Guide based in Jackson, Wyoming. I guide rock, alpine, and ski—year-round in the Tetons, with regular seasons in the Alps and trips to the Wasatch and Washington. Skiing was my first love; over time I’ve developed a deep passion for alpine and rock, and I enjoy helping guests progress across all three disciplines.

I work well with a wide range of experience levels. Whether you’re new to alpine terrain, building toward 5.10 on rock, or looking for a thoughtful ski tour, I’ll meet you where you are, set clear plans, and keep the day supportive and fun. My approach blends patient teaching with inclusive group culture and a steady focus on risk management—staying aware of both objective and subjective hazards and making decisions that keep us inside a healthy margin.

Off the mountain, I like staying current on global news and exploring how different businesses and technologies solve hard problems—curiosity that shows up in how I plan, brief, and debrief mountain days.

Safety & decision-making

I prepare with venue-specific forecasts, weather/avalanche products, and current route intel from a wide network. I brief options, include you in decisions, and will adjust or turn around when conditions or margins say we should—no summit is worth unsafe conditions. If you want to be pushed, I’ll do that thoughtfully; if you’d prefer a steadier pace, we’ll keep it there.
